Welcome to Weightoo. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Weightoo mobile application, the companion website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Weightoo ("we," "us," or "our"). Weightoo is an AI weight-loss companion app that provides habit tracking, weight logging, daily check-ins, AI coaching, and educational lessons. By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Weightoo account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you have a history of an eating disorder, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under medical supervision for weight, diabetes, or another condition, please consult your healthcare provider before using Weightoo.

2. Not Medical Advice

Weightoo is a wellness and habit-tracking tool focused on weight management, daily habits, and lifestyle education. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI coach, lessons, and any guidance provided in the Service are for general informational purposes only and are not personalized medical advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, dietary change, exercise program, or weight-loss goal. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, logged, or received through the Service.

3. Your Account

Weightoo uses social sign-in only — Sign in with Apple on iOS and Sign in with Google on iOS and Android. You are responsible for safeguarding the social account you use to sign in and for any activity that occurs under your Weightoo account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose a risk to other users.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app or its backend.
• Scrape, copy, or republish content, lessons, or AI coach responses from the Service without written permission.
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or content that infringes the rights of others.
• Use the AI coach to generate content that is unlawful, hateful, sexual, or harmful, or to circumvent its safety guidelines.
• Use automated systems (bots, crawlers) to interact with the Service in ways that disrupt it or unfairly consume AI coach quota.

5. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Payments

Weightoo is a subscription-based product. After onboarding you will be presented with a paywall and may choose a weekly, monthly, or yearly plan. A free-trial period (where offered) may precede paid billing. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective terms, and managed in the Service via Adapty.

• Auto-renewal: Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subscriptions auto-renew at the then-current price for the same duration.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's account settings (Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Restore purchases: If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use the "Restore Purchases" option inside Weightoo to reactivate your subscription.
• Refunds: Refunds are governed by the applicable app store policy (Apple or Google). Weightoo cannot directly issue refunds for store-billed subscriptions.
• Free-trial conversion: If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, the subscription will convert to a paid plan at the displayed price.

6. AI Coach

Weightoo's AI coach is powered by third-party large-language models (currently DeepSeek) accessed through our secure backend. The AI coach may use your profile data (such as age, current and goal weight, activity level, recent habit and weight logs, and coach personality preference) to personalize its responses. The AI coach can make mistakes, hallucinate facts, or produce out-of-date information. Do not rely on it for medical, nutritional, legal, or financial decisions. Conversations with the AI coach may be stored to provide chat history, improve the Service, and detect abuse, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the weight logs, measurements, habit completions, check-in notes, progress photos, and chat messages you enter into the Service ("User Content"). You grant Weightoo a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell your User Content. Progress photos, if you choose to upload them, are stored privately in Firebase Storage and are not shared publicly.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, branding, lessons, illustrations, code, AI coach personas (Mira, Theo, Aria, Kai, and others), and trademarks — is owned by Weightoo or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics), Adapty (subscription management), and DeepSeek (AI inference). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Weightoo is not responsible for the practices of third parties.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC WEIGHT-LOSS, HEALTH, OR FITNESS OUTCOME. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weightoo and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Weightoo from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the Service to you becomes commercially impractical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property) will survive.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Weightoo is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

Privacy Policy

Effective: May 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Weightoo collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and stable user identifier provided by Apple or Google when you sign in. Weightoo does not see or store your social-account password.
• Onboarding profile: sex, age, height, current weight, start weight, goal weight, target date, activity level, weight-loss goal, barriers, sleep/lifestyle inputs, and your AI coach personality preference.
• Habit and check-in data: daily habit completions, streaks, mood ratings, check-in notes, and "tomorrow's intention" entries you choose to record.
• Body data: weight logs, body measurements (waist, hips, chest, arms), and progress photos (front, side, back) you choose to upload.
• AI coach conversations: messages you send to the AI coach and the responses returned to you.
• Subscription data: subscription status, plan, renewal state, and Adapty/store identifiers — used to grant or restrict premium access.
• Device & diagnostic data: device type, OS version, app version, language, crash logs, and similar diagnostic information (via Firebase Crashlytics).
• Usage data: anonymized analytics about how features are used (via Firebase Analytics) so we can improve the app.
• Push tokens: a notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver reminders you opt into.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Operate the Service and sync your data across devices.
• Personalize the AI coach using your profile, recent logs, and coach preferences.
• Show progress charts, streaks, and recommended next steps.
• Deliver the reminders and notifications you opt into (daily reminders, habit/check-in reminders, subscription expiry reminders).
• Process subscription purchases, renewals, restorations, and entitlements via Adapty.
• Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your weight, habit, or body data with advertisers.

3. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Users)

Where required, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (to keep the Service secure and improve it), your consent (e.g., for optional notifications and the use of progress photos), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of the data:
  • Firebase (Google LLC) — Authentication, Firestore database, Storage for progress photos, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics.
  • Adapty — subscription management and entitlement webhooks.
  • Apple & Google — sign-in, payment processing, and app store delivery.
  • DeepSeek — large-language-model inference for the AI coach. Only the messages and context required to generate a response are sent. API keys are stored in Google Secret Manager on our backend, not in the app.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account, Restore Purchases, and Notification preferences). For anything else, email [email protected].

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and habit data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons. Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely. Subscription receipts may be retained for the period required by tax and consumer-protection law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest, hashed identifiers, scoped Firestore security rules, Firebase App Check, and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. Please keep your Apple or Google account protected with a strong password and two-factor authentication.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own — primarily the United States, where Firebase, Adapty, and DeepSeek services are operated. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.

Account & Data Deletion

How to delete your Weightoo account and personal data (Apple / Google requirement)

You can permanently delete your Weightoo account and all associated personal data at any time. Deletion is irreversible — your weight logs, measurements, progress photos, habit history, AI coach conversations, and profile will be removed and cannot be restored.

Option 1 — Inside the app (recommended)

1. Open Weightoo and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
3. Confirm the deletion prompt.
4. You will be signed out immediately. Your data is deleted within 30 days.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your Apple or Google sign-in account. Include the word "Delete account" in the subject line. We will verify your identity, delete your account within 30 days, and email you a confirmation.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (sex, age, height, weight goal, target date, preferences).
• All weight logs, body measurements, and progress photos.
• All habit completions, streaks, daily check-ins, and check-in notes.
• All AI coach conversations.
• Notification tokens and device identifiers tied to your account.

What may be retained

• Anonymized, aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you.
• Subscription receipts and billing records required by tax and consumer-protection law, kept for the legally required period.
• Records required to prevent fraud or comply with a legal request.

Important — cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your Weightoo account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop future billing, cancel it from the store before or after deletion:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Weightoo → Cancel Subscription.
• Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Weightoo → Cancel.
